In the organizer's words:
Without being asked, nine young Afghans are torn away from their carefree childhood games and have to bow to their parents' decisions. On their way to Europe, they can only take what they can fit into a rucksack from their previous lives. But even in dark times, not everything is dark and hopeless. The performers use dance, poetry and theater to tell their deeply personal stories, which also reflect the untold experiences of many others. In doing so, the young people not only regain control of their own narratives, but also give a voice to those who have previously gone unheard.
