Garden and wellness festival in the Bad Salzdetfurth spa gardens on May 9 and 10, 2026

When the spa gardens of Bad Salzdetfurth shine in springtime splendor, it's that time again: the popular garden and wellness festival returns for the 14th time on May 9 and 10! Over 80 exhibitors from all over Germany will be coming to present the latest trends in gardening, wellness and arts and crafts. Between the imposing, 250-year-old graduation towers and on the extensive green areas, there is once again plenty to discover this weekend.

Inspiration for garden lovers

The gardening season is open. That means it's time to freshen up the balcony, terrace and garden again! On a 300 square meter lawn area, visitors will find more than 1000 different decorative elements ranging from garden plugs, wind chimes, baskets, figures and concrete decorations to trellises made of steel and stainless steel.

At "La Maison", visitors can expect a wide selection of stylish home decorations that visually and functionally enrich their own homes. From decorative accents to practical home accessories, the range offers suitable solutions for different tastes and living concepts. La Maison will also be presenting innovative options for artificial room greenery: whether artificial moss or high-quality silk flowers, visitors to the stand will also find plenty of inspiration for easy-care, attractive greenery in their own four walls.

The Blooming Company from the Netherlands will be there again. Whether colorful tulips, elegant daffodils or fragrant hyacinths, flower bulbs offer the right selection for every season and every garden style for gardens, balconies and landscaping.
In the pavilion opposite the Kurpark stage, "Orchideen Neuhaus" from Hückeswagen will be showcasing the diversity of rare orchid species. Visitors can not only learn more about the care and species diversity of the "queen of flowers", but can also bring their own orchids and have them professionally repotted on site.

Art, creativity and craftsmanship

Art can be experienced between the graduation towers: numerous artisans and designers present their creative works. Sabine Nordmeyer will also be there, exhibiting over 500 unique handmade ceramic pieces. These are made from bright white firing casting clay and finished with a selection of over 1000 glazes. Her workshop in Peine, where she also offers courses, is known for its creative shapes and stylish designs for the home and garden.

Anyone looking for unique glass items in different shapes and colors will find what they are looking for at Laura Leppich's stand. She produces colorful hand-blown glass creations using used glass from Mexico. This recycling process uses less energy than industrially produced glass and even looks beautiful. The result is drinking glasses in various sizes, glass hearts, baubles or decorative sprinkles.

Visitors to the Kurpark can look over the shoulder of jewelry designer Petra Ernst. She shows how unique pieces of jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings and finger rings are created from shells, leather, Swarovski stones and cultured pearls.

Fashion-conscious visitors can look forward to Bertha Hantusch. The Peruvian designer turns alpaca wool into unique sweaters, jackets and socks for young and old. The high-quality natural fiber is not only skin-friendly but also temperature-regulating, making it ideal for all seasons. Their fashion stands for quality, style and sustainability.

Well-being and health

Well-being and health also play a central role at the Garden and Wellness Festival. From circulation-promoting devices and ergonomic products for the back to room fragrances and nutrition tips.

A special highlight is the stand of Klaus-Michael Jähnig from Winsen. He produces hand-sifted soaps. A millennia-old craft that he reinterprets with modern, organically controlled plant oils and essential fragrances. Those who are sensitive to fragrances will also find what they are looking for: There are also completely fragrance-free variants. Jähnig also offers lovingly designed soap bags in colorful designs.

Information and advice

Visitors can find out about a wide range of topics at numerous stands, such as e-bikes, physiotherapy, coaching, tiny houses, cooking recipes, window systems or photovoltaic systems and heat pumps.

Pleasure for all the senses

Of course, there will also be plenty to eat and drink: international and regional specialties await visitors on the square in front of the Kurparkbühne stage and along the graduation towers. Whether hearty meat dishes, vegetarian and vegan options, homemade lemonades, fine spirits, crêpes, honey from the beekeeper, liquorice or Italian homemade ice cream, there is something for every taste.
