Gary Clark Jr. is coming to Germany for two exclusive concerts this summer. The American blues guitarist and singer from Austin, Texas will be playing at Carlswerk Victoria in Cologne on July 15 and at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin on July 16.

The American musician Gary Clark Jr. has developed into a rock 'n' roll messiah of the 21st century. A blues virtuoso who combines reggae, punk, R&B, hip-hop and soul and is reshaping the genre. In 2014, Gary Clark Jr. made waves around the world with his first Grammy Award: "Best Traditional R&B Performance" for "Please Come Home" from his 2012 debut album "Blak And Blu". With his third album "This Land", Gary Clark Jr. landed at number 6 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2019. The album was characterized by its socially critical orientation and marked his third consecutive top 10 debut. "This Land" was praised by the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and many others. In 2020, Clark swept the Grammys, winning awards for "Best Rock Performance" and "Best Rock Song" for "This Land" as well as Best Contemporary Blues Album. To date, Clark has received six Grammy nominations and four awards. Clark has performed at the Hollywood Bowl, shared the stage with the Rolling Stones and performed at the White House for the Obamas. While he is working on his new album, he has announced exclusive shows in Germany in advance.
