The pianist Yu-Yin Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She completed her concert exam in piano at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in the class of Prof. Jochen Köhler. Prior to this, she successfully completed her master's degree in piano with Prof. Clemens Rave at the Münster University of Music.
She has won prizes at several international competitions, including first prize at the 29th Young Musician International Competition "Città di Barletta" in Italy and first prize at the 4th Swiss Piano Competition Lugano in 2023. In 2022 and 2023, she gave two solo recitals at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum Berlin. In 2025, she also performed as a pianist for the Taiwanese representation in the Czech Republic.
