Gazino Altinova

Our own production "Gazino Altınova", directed by İdil Üner, transforms the Thalia Gaußstraße ballroom into a magical musical venue. And invites the audience to embark together on a journey through the years before and after the arrival of the first generation of so-called "guest workers" in their new "home" Germany.

Experiences and biographical stories are brought to life through the music of the time. Through the retrospective, "Gazino Altınova" attempts to understand what the past tells us about our present and perhaps even our future. The evening is based on the questions "What music accompanied you when you first arrived in Germany?", "What music made you happy and satisfied your longing for home?"

You can pre-order meze (appetizers) for every performance of "Gazino Altınova" - please do so by 1 pm the day before the performance at the latest.

Each plate contains a variety of authentic starters - hummus (chickpea paste), baba ghanoush (eggplant paste), labne (curd cheese with spices), mahamara (spicy sauce with walnuts), stuffed vine leaves and bread.

Kendi prodüksiyonumuz olan ve İdil Üner'in sahneye koyduğu "Gazino Altınova", Thalia Gaußstraße'deki eski balo salonunu, büyülü ve müzikal bir ortama çeviriyor; seyirciyi, ilk kuşak göçmen işçilerin gelişinden hemen önce başlayıp, yeni vatan Almanya ile ilk karşılaşmalarına ve sonrasına uzanan bir zamanda yolculuk serüvenine davet ediyor.
