Geäst {ramifications} deals with the unconscious appropriation of memories in the context of transgenerational trauma. Incomplete retellings of our own origin stories lead us to automatically fill in the gaps ourselves, thus creating fictional narratives. In this way, a new narrative is created that appropriates the original memories. The project Geäst {ramifications} replicates this appropriation process in an immersive spatial installation and an essay film, inviting visitors to become part of this process.
