Gehen – Von Büchern zu Bernhard (Literaturtage Recklinghausen 2026)
In the organizer's words:
“Walking—From Büchner to Bernhard”—A Literary and Musical Tour with Claudius Reimann and Johannes Thorbecke
Walking signifies a new beginning, movement, and change. Ever since Georg Büchner’s *Lenz*, authors have repeatedly set out on journeys, turning walking into a symbol of human existence—as a search for direction, freedom, and insight.
Musician Claudius Reimann and Johannes Thorbecke from the independent theater company Gegendruck invite you on an extraordinary literary and musical journey. With an atmospheric collage of familiar and lesser-known texts—from the Romantic era to the present day, from Georg Büchner to Thomas Bernhard—they blend literature and music into a captivating stage experience.
Set against the backdrop of landscapes and cities, departure and arrival, lightness and abysses, the evening reveals just how closely movement and storytelling are intertwined.
A poetic performance for anyone who wants to experience literature in a different way—by listening, feeling, and taking it step by step.
