This online workshop is about how to remain confident in difficult discussions after speeches. Participants will learn how to deal with disruptions and defuse conflicts.

Objectives

• Learn techniques to deal with unproductive contributions from the audience
• Develop skills to steer discussions in a goal-oriented manner.
• Strengthen confidence in critical situations.

Methods

• Practicing conflict resolution through exercises.
• Re-enact various disruptions in role plays.
• Reflect on and analyze real discussions.
• Improve rhetoric and public speaking in workshops.

The online workshop is aimed at people who often speak in public.

With whom?

Gabriele Hobmeier, an experienced communication and conflict resolution trainer, leads the workshop. She will contribute her experience from her work with Dialog Kassel.

Should it become necessary for you to cancel, for which there may of course be good reasons, please send us a short e-mail. We ask for your understanding that a refund of your participation fee is only possible if you cancel at least two weeks before the start of the event.

The reduced participation fee is available to all persons with a low income (e.g. students) and members of our foundation. Proof is not required.

Please note that the online event will take place in the Zoom program. Depending on the event (with audience participation), you may need a camera and/or microphone to participate.

You can either use the client program or the app. With the Chrome and Edge browsers, you can participate directly via the access link. Further information on how to use Zoom. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Zoom so that you have the necessary settings.
