Gelato Week Germany

In the organizer's words:

After four exceptional editions in Berlin under the name Berlin Ice Cream Week, the event dedicated to Italian gelato is now spreading to the rest of Germany!

Concept of the event

For one week, this year from April 18 to 27, 2024, each participating ice cream parlor will choose a special gelato flavor - different for each ice cream parlor - and offer it in their store for only 1.50 euros per scoop!

You can find the names of all participating ice cream parlors and their special flavors on the printed maps in the participating ice cream parlors, on the PDF map or on our personalized Google Map (and of course there are plenty of vegan options). For the first time, the event is not only taking place in Berlin, but also simultaneously in five other regions of Germany: Münsterland, Black Forest, Alpine foothills, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Rhine-Moselle. Win a prize!

We are organizing two competitions as part of the event:

• The stamp competition: enjoy a scoop and ask for the stamp on the card. Collect at least 3 stamps, send us a photo of the card to trueitaliancontest@gmail.com and enter a Lottery to win lots of prizes!
• The Instagram photo contest: post a creative photo with one of the Gelato Week ice cream flavors, use the hashtag #gelatoweekgermany, tag @trueitalianfood and @gelatoweekgermany and include the geolocation of the ice cream parlors. Fingers crossed... You could win a three-day trip for two to the Italian Riviera Romagnola!

Our mission is to shine a light on the producers who make gelato with care, use high quality ingredients, and let you taste crazy and experimental flavors.
