Karl Benjamin and Grey Crawford: Geometry of Light (to commemorate Karl Benjamin's 100th birthday)
Opening: Friday, May 01, 2026, from 6 to 9 pm
Persons Projects is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition Geometry of Light, featuring works by Karl Benjamin and Grey Crawford, which will take place in the Perspectives section of Gallery Weekend Berlin 2026.
This exhibition is the first to explore the direct influence of Karl Benjamin's hard-edge painting on Grey Crawford's early conceptual photography. Although both artists worked in different media, they were rooted in Southern California and shared a common visual language - characterized by the precise use of geometry, structure and abstraction.
