It's love at first sight when Lisa and Giorgi meet for a brief moment in the Georgian city of Kutaisi. Love catches them so suddenly that they even forget to tell each other their names. Before they both go their separate ways again, they agree to meet the next day. But the two have no idea that they have fallen victim to a curse. Will they manage to see each other again? And if they do, will they recognize each other? Meanwhile, life in the city goes on, street dogs roam the streets, the soccer World Cup begins and a film crew dedicated to finding true love could be Lisa and Giorgi's salvation ...

Alexandre Koberidze's second feature film celebrated its world premiere in the International Competition of the 71st Berlinale 2021, where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize. Numerous international festival appearances followed, and at the end of 2021, WHAT WE SEE... was voted one of the best films of the year by many international publications, including Sight & Sound, Film Comment, Cinema Scope, Slate and The Hollywood Reporter.
