geradezu - fotografische Ausstellung mit Führung und Essen-Performance
In the organizer's words:
geradezu - a guided tour of the exhibition (with Anja Schlamann) and a food intervention (with Marie Donike and Johannes Specks)
Going straight ahead means taking a path that seems clear. But in the very next moment, the direction can shift. geradezu also means: directly, almost, nearly. The title plays with this double meaning - movement and attitude at the same time.
The works in this exhibition move within this field of tension. Architecture, spaces and situations initially appear orderly and natural. Lines guide the eye, perspectives structure the image. But over time, scales change, emptiness becomes perceptible, people appear or are missing.
The"almost" also means approaching: The pictures enter into a relationship with the viewer. Between orientation and irritation, the obvious only gradually becomes apparent. geradezu.
Ihave been photographing with passionfor 22 years, mostly analog and with a large format camera. In this exhibition I am showing five photographic series - two long-term projects (Ladentische + S I E) and three completed works (UnterBrücken, Aurora + doing memory).
On 21.06.26 at 14:30, the artist Anja Schlamann will give a guided tour of the exhibition. The artist couple Marie Donike and Johannes Specks will serve small meals in the room with the pictures of the counters collected worldwide.
Formally constructed, similar to a counter, the two will serve visitors a small meal over it, thus creating a direct situation that complements the gustatory level of the theme and invites people to enter into conversation.
