He is the likeable Lower Bavarian bard that everyone knows. Not only is he a powerful expert on his guitar, he is also a verbal acrobat. A jack-of-all-trades and the real inventor of Bavarian musical cabaret - Fredl Fesl! As soon as he sang about "Fensterln bei der Liesl" or "Moritat vom Ritter Hadubrand" and accompanied himself on the guitar, he had the laughing audience on his side. The Bavarian singer-songwriter Fredl Fesl has been on stage for 30 years. In addition to his satirical and funny lyrics, Fredl Fesl's trademark was his minute-long ironic introductions.

In Hof an der Saale in Upper Franconia, there is a musician who has undoubtedly mastered the Lower Bavarian dialect and who is more familiar with the songs than anyone else, as he has been listening to them "up and down" on cassettes and records since he was fifteen. In his new solo program, the "Fredl Fesl Evening", musician, songwriter, entertainer and radio presenter Gery Gerspitzer once again brings the skills of this veteran to the Bavarian stage and lets his powerful songs ring out true to the original. Gery Gerspitzer has put together a best-of program that is second to none. Since March 2018, he has been successfully touring with his "Fredl Fesl Evening", providing entertaining evenings with guaranteed laughter with his unforgettable songs. Whether it's the "Fußballlied", "Das Lied vom Rausch" or the "Königsjodler" - he has them all in his luggage. With a flannel shirt, guitar and a filled beer glass, Gery Gerspitzer appears before his audience and spends two hours reminiscing about a man who wrote Bavarian music history - Fredl Fesl.
