Geschichte spielend verstehen! Der Ost-West-Konflikt im 20. Jahrhundert. Seminar mit Dr. Sabine Grabowski (GHH)

In the organizer's words:

Registration deadline: January 14

Historical contexts are often complex and some decisions of the past are difficult to understand today. One way to achieve an understanding of historical events is to engage with history through play. In the protected framework of the game, past decision-making situations can be recreated and their conditions can be understood. Using various board games from East and West, we want to deal with special circumstances of the 20th century and understand the systemic conflict that characterized the century. After a historical introduction to the respective subject area, various complex and sometimes curious board games will be played together and tested for their relevance to the history of the East-West conflict. A visit to the new permanent exhibition at the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn rounds off the program.
