Familiengeschichte(n) aufschreiben – Wie fange ich an, wie mache ich weiter?
In the organizer's words:
Perhaps you’ve been thinking for a while about writing down precious family memories and stories: But how do you get started, and what options are actually available? Or maybe you’re already in the middle of writing and have run into unexpected challenges: How can you deal with them and find the motivation to pick up where you left off?
This interactive workshop offers you a space to explore your own family history through writing in surprisingly diverse ways. It will give you an initial insight into key aspects of this unique form of autobiographical writing and the surprising variety of approaches you can draw upon. Using literary examples and small exercises from autobiographical and creative writing, you’ll be able to discover firsthand which methods and writing styles suit you and your goals.
This workshop is designed for both those with no writing experience and those with writing experience. The only prerequisite for participation is a love of linguistic and creative experimentation, as well as a desire to exchange ideas and reflect together. Feel free to bring copies of family photos.
Facilitator:
Sandra Miriam Schneider, writing coach, instructor in autobiographical, creative, and literary writing
