Isabelle and Annika have forgotten how to talk to each other. Now, at their mother's deathbed, they have to. Their aunt Dagmar is also there. Three women, three lone warriors. And while they are still getting to grips with the feeling of belonging together as a family, an international tech billionaire launches his idea of a revolutionary new community. He wants to give society an update - via an app. And everyone can get involved. The project is to be launched right here with them: in Weimar. Days later, the three are already part of a public debate. Because what lies ahead of them sounds both promising and puzzling. Is this a new start for democracy? Or the beginning of the end? "Gesellschaftsspiel is not just a novel about a possible future, but a clever, closely observed novel about our present" (NDR Kultur).

Dora Zwickau studied political science, history and copywriting in Mannheim and Hamburg. She has lived in London since 2011 and works as a content strategist for small start-ups and global corporations. Gesellschafts spiel is her first novel.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the City of Giessen in the Hermann-Levi-Saal (concert hall in the town hall, Berliner Platz 1, 35390 Giessen). The event will be moderated by Begüm Kardes. Admission is €8, reduced €6 and free for LZG members. Access is wheelchair accessible.
