In the organizer's words:
Ghost in the Cell
For now, the inmates of the high-security wing can still laugh maliciously: “Victim” is written all too clearly on the sweaty forehead of the frail newcomer with the nickel-rimmed glasses and the shy gaze. But Inmate 1919 has something up his sleeve: a bestial spirit that massacres anyone whose pulse rises to 180. Here, anyone who loses their cool truly loses their skin.
Iconic prison clichés collide with full force against cleverly placed social satire—but above all, against unbridled, extremely inventive splatter fun. The astral entity wastes no time on subtle hauntings but goes all out immediately with maximum intensity. In the finest EVIL DEAD tradition, Joko Anwar’s GHOST IN THE CELL celebrates an unbridled bloodbath full of spectacular handmade effects and anatomical absurdities. Uncompromisingly insane body horror that takes no prisoners.

The inmates of the maximum-security wing can still laugh smugly—for now: the scrawny newcomer with nickel-rimmed glasses and a timid gaze practically has “victim” written all over his sweaty forehead. But Prisoner 1919 has brought something with him: a bestial spirit that massacres anyone whose pulse rises above 180. Here, if you lose your cool, you literally lose your skin.
Iconic prison clichés collide head-on with cleverly placed jabs at society, but above all with unrestrained, wildly inventive splatter fun. The astral entity has no time for subtle scares; instead, it goes straight for the jugular at maximum intensity. In the finest EVIL DEAD tradition, Joko Anwar’s GHOST IN THE CELL is an unbridled bloodbath packed with spectacular practical effects and anatomical absurdities. Uncompromisingly deranged body horror that takes no prisoners.
