Gili Avissar – Sweet Sweet Sun

In the organizer's words:

The exhibition Sweet Sweet Sun by Gili Avissar can be seen at Künstlerhaus Bethanien. The artist creates large, colorful room installations. He uses recycled textiles such as old fabrics and items of clothing. He uses these materials to create curtains, animals, mythical creatures and imaginative costumes. The works hang in the room, lie on the floor or surround the visitors. In this way, the exhibition space itself becomes a stage.
Gili Avissar presents a theater of everyday life. He reminds us that we all play roles - at work, in the family or among friends. The colorful fabrics invite us to take a closer look, move around and become part of this scene.
