Giro di Monaco 2024

The motto of this year's run is: Only together can we run! A round on the open society

"Right-wing populists are scapegoating the poor and refugees and ranting about isolation and remigration. But things are happening. In recent months, hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to demonstrate against these attempts at division. A new solidarity is emerging. At the Giro di Monaco, we will all be riding together towards an open society! Because we can only do it together!" says the chairman of the Bellevue di Monaco, cultural organizer Till Hofmann. "Of course, we are once again planning a varied supporting program with bands and solo artists. Once again, it should simply be fun and a celebration for the city."

Anyone and everyone can take part according to their abilities, social differences do not matter. Ambitious runners are just as welcome as people of all backgrounds, ages, with or without disabilities, families with children or pets. There is no start number and no timekeeping - the focus is on having fun. A stage program with live music and surprise guests awaits the participants at the finish area.

The proceeds will be used to fund projects run by Bellevue di Monaco to support refugees.

The run is supported by several major sponsors, some of which have been involved from the outset, such as C.H. Beck Verlag and Allianz Deutschland . To mark its 200th anniversary, Stadtsparkasse München has joined the group of sponsors this year. This generous support ensures that the runners' donations benefit the social cause despite the high organizational effort.

Event day: Sunday, May 12, 2024

Warm-up with music: from 10:00 am
Starting signal: 11:00 am

Course: almost 5 km long and 8 m difference in altitude per lap on the completely car-free Altstadtring

Start and finish area: Blumenstraße, between Corneliusstraße and Fraunhoferstraße. There: water station, drinks, information stands, live music and much more.

In the afternoon: street party in Corneliusstrasse together with the Glockenbachwerkstatt
