A mystery radio play by stattWerkSTADT

On a windy fall day, a neon light flickers above the door of the soup store: 24 OPEN. Mysterious figures enter. The smell of fresh soup fills the air. Kara - the mysterious one - and her interrogators are engrossed in a conspiratorial conversation at a wooden table. Who is shadowing whom here? It's obviously not the first time the three of them have talked! Haven't they been coming here for years? The tea-drinking men at the next table know exactly what has been going on here at Stern over the last few decades. Very few of them want to talk about it. Only the drunken onlooker who suddenly bursts in and wants a kebab is talkative and has a very special view of things. They are all members of an enchanted world in our midst. And at the end of the soup lurks the secret!

"Gizemli Çorba - The Secret Soup" is a radio play by and with stattWerkSTADT, which regularly develops artistic interventions for urban spaces. Based on the Turkish soup store Bizim Çorbacı Deluxe, a crime story inspired by the atmosphere of American mystery flicks was created through creative writing processes, improvisations and interviews with local people. The radio play follows the trail of lonely gangsters and unlimited opening hours from the American diner scenes of Hollywood to the Ruhr area and finds its echo in the Turkish soup store at Gelsenkirchen's Stern. The audience is invited to take a seat themselves.

The radio play can be heard in either German or Turkish. Both versions are available for one year at any time at Bizim Çorbacı Deluxe via QR code. You will need your own cell phone and headphones for this. Simply ask at the counter for the "secret soup" or check the menu.
