The longing of algorithms - faith, love, prompt!

From 18.07.2025 to 10.08.2025, a major AI art exhibition entitled "Glaube, Liebe, Prompt!" will take place in Bottrop's Kulturkirche Heilig Kreuz under the patronage of Lord Mayor Bernd Tischler. This event will be accompanied by an extensive supporting program on the topic of artificial intelligence. The mainframe for this event will be a large-scale total art exhibition (outside of the competition) with newly prompted AI works by artists Dr. Claudia Roosen, Dirk Lohrbach and Thilo Totter. There will also be an AI art competition in which anyone can take part and which will end with the awarding of the first Bottrop AI Art Prize.

• Friday, 18.07.2025 - 7 to 9 pm: Vernissage: music, drinks and introduction to the KI exhibition.
  • "To be or not to be?" - KI opening speech with Dirk Helmke (1st Chairman Kulturkirche Heilig Kreuz e.V.).
  • Introductory speech "I believe this is art" by Mayor Monika Budke.
• Saturday, 19.07.2025 - 18:30 to 19:30: Lecture on "AI & Robotics" with engineer Oliver Urbann,
  Junior Research Group Leader AI & Robotics at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Dortmund.
• Sunday, 20.07.2025 - 5 p.m.: Live AI music. "Who am I, and if so, how many?" Thilo Totter and friends
  give a concert together with KI programs, which is expected to include various styles.
• Friday, 25.07.2025 - 7 to 8 p.m.: Lord Mayor candidate Frank Kien (CDU) on the topic of "Doppelspitze OB + KI".
• Saturday, 26.07.2025 - 6 to 8 p.m.: AI programs - the new gods in white?
  Lecture on the use of AI in medicine: What is the current state of affairs? An exciting and informative lecture from
  hospital practice with:

• Friday, 01.08.2025 - 7 to 7:45 p.m.: Faith and religions in the age of artificial intelligence:
  • Provost Dr. Jürgen Cleve talks about the topic: digital consolation - how artificial intelligence is changing pastoral care.
  • 20:15 to 21:00: Theologian Dominik Winter, research assistant at the Chair of Theological Ethics at Ruhr-Universität
    Bochum, will speak on the topic "Departure into the digital utopia?". The dangers and opportunities of artificial intelligence for our society
    from a theological and ethical perspective.
  • Saturday, 02.08.2025 - 17:30 to approx. 20:00: AI and copyright: "I think that's mine." Information evening on the topic of copyright for
    music created by artificial intelligence.
  • Lawyer Benedikt SchneidersL.M. from the law firm Schneiders & Behrendt explains the current legal framework, possible landmark judgments
    and gives an outlook on future developments.
  • Musician, sound engineer and music producer Detlef Wiederhöft will give an insight into current developments in the music market and the use of artificial intelligence in the music industry.

• Sunday, 03.08.2025 - 6 pm: Film screening: "Ex Machina" - an exciting and erotic thriller on the subject of AI by British director Alex Garland.
• Friday, 08.08.2025 - 7 pm: AI organ concert with the well-known organist and church musician Alexander Grün. He plays on the two-part
  Breil organ in the Kulturkirche Heilig Kreuz, an organ concert composed by the KI.
• Saturday, 09.08.2025 - 6 pm: Speech by the Lord Mayor (patron of the event). A KI jury selects the winners of the competition,
  followed by an award ceremony with Lord Mayor Bernd Tischler, followed by a party with personalities from politics, business and showbiz.
• Sunday, 10.08.2025 - 3 to 8 pm: Finissage. Auction of various AI artworks.
