Location: Shelterhaus at the "Wildnis für Kinder" Hustadt, green area at "Am Hustadtring 7, 44801 Bochum" (directions here: www.wildnis-fuer-kinder.de/Hustadt)
Time: Friday, June 26, from 21:45-23:15
When dusk falls, things get really exciting at the end of June/beginning of July! Then little bugs start to glow everywhere and the area at Hustadt becomes a magical glowworm world.
Come along with the whole family. Everyone is welcome. We'll go on a discovery tour together and look out for fireflies and other nocturnal animals and listen to what's out and about in the dark. You can use beaker magnifying glasses to carefully look at the little creepy-crawlies (and then release them again). One of our nature educators will accompany you. It's not about collecting, but about carefully discovering, looking and marveling.
Of course, we can't guarantee that we'll see fireflies - but depending on the weather, the chances are really good.
Please remember to bring weatherproof and sturdy clothing and shoes - we are outside and it can get chilly in the evening!
Free of charge. Without registration.
