GROWING THROUGH CONCRETE

An interdisciplinary stage performance

The ROOTS & ROUTES Experience 2024

The stage play "Growing Through Concrete" was developed by 40 young artists from Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Austria, Romania and Turkey within two weeks from a combination of their artistic disciplines and the topics that move them.

How do we deal with increasing uncertainties? When artificial intelligence paints our visions of the future, social media creates pressure for uniformity and individual freedoms are shrinking worldwide: how do we bridge the gap and turn our fears into strengths?

Growing through Concrete is about mastering seemingly insurmountable challenges. How can we remain flexible and find creative solutions to avoid being overwhelmed by change? How can we find the self-confidence and inner strength to overcome life's uncertainties? Our play is intended to encourage and inspire us to face the challenges of the present while preserving our own uniqueness.
