Live in concert

Singer and actor Gustav Peter Wöhler and his band have been performing together on stage for twenty-five years. The actor's current "second mainstay" is preceded by a lifelong passion: even as a child, Gustav Peter Wöhler loved entertaining guests to the jukebox in his parents' inn near Herford, followed later by performances in the canteen of the Hamburg Schauspielhaus out of sheer passion. The Gustav Peter Wöhler Band has existed in its current line-up since 2008; alongside frontman Gustav Peter Wöhler are bassist Olaf Casimir, guitarist Mirko Michalzik and Kai Fischer on grand piano and keyboards. With their very own arrangements of classics and discoveries from pop and rock, the former Hamburg insiders' tip has continuously made a name for itself nationwide, and the quartet's honest, passionate music-making inspires audiences everywhere.

The quartet's program includes an ever-changing collection of personal favourite songs. The program builds bridges between stars and one-hit wonders, classics and personal discoveries. The spectrum ranges from George Harrison, Paul Simon and Randy Newman to Rio Reiser and June Carter. The titles are framed by Gustav Peter Wöhler's very personal stories - the audience thanks him with standing ovations!
