GÜTERMARKT Mai 2026

In the organizer's words:

On May 3, the goods market starts the new season and invites you to browse, discover and participate from 11:00 to 19:00.

Visitors can expect a diverse market with flea market stalls, local arts and crafts and creative hands-on activities. In addition to special finds and handmade works, this year's Gütermarkt also offers a varied supporting program: from live music to workshops and readings, a lively meeting place for art, neighborhood and exchange is created.

A highlight of the day is the graphic novel reading from Gras by Keum Suk Gendry-Kim (16:00 - 17:00, classroom upstairs), which takes place as part of the Comic Invasion. The internationally acclaimed comic tells the moving story of the so-called comfort women and is based on interviews with survivor Lee Ok-sun. In cooperation with the Korea Verband e.V., the event creates a space for reflection on the culture of remembrance and historical responsibility - also in the context of the Ari peace statue currently erected at the ZK/U.

From 15:00 to 16:00, the band Bussibaba will bring their very own mixture of Berlin and Viennese influences to the stage with Viennese dialect, funky grooves and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Afterwards, the NOANDA Trio will present songs from their upcoming album I See You from 17:00 to 18:00. With neo-soul, jazz and global influences as well as multilingual lyrics, they create a multi-layered sound between urban pop and world music diversity.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to join in: the story map workshop (13:00 - 16:00) invites mother-daughter couples with migration experience in particular to creatively record their personal stories. Please register here. In the workshop "Color exploration in the city" (15:00 - 17:00) you will artistically explore the hidden resources of urban nature.

From 11:00 a.m., the Glashaus will be hosting a vintage sale where lovingly curated individual items, from vintage clothing to costume elements, will be looking for new owners. The arts and crafts at the market also showcase the diversity of the local scene: from playful prints and ceramics by ARIMSOL to individual illustrations by Yi Liu, which capture Berlin city scenes in vibrant colors.

The day will be accompanied by culinary delights from Kanapka Catering (from 12:00) with vegan, regional dishes.

Free admission.
