Hagener Kultursommer - Muschelsalat
In the organizer's words:
Muschelsalat Brings Aerial Acrobatics and Japanese Brass Sounds to Wehringhausen City Park
One summer evening, two venues, and plenty of wonder: An extraordinary open-air experience awaits you at Muschelsalat in Wehringhausen City Park on July 29.
The event kicks off near the children’s playground with the street theater production “Misirlou” by the Compagnie Omnivolant. Perched on a nearly five-meter-high Korean fishing chair, the performers use aerial acrobatics, juggling, and slapstick to tell a touching yet humorous story about rivalry, trust, and courage.
Afterward, the audience will move together to the meadow below the memorial. There, the Japanese band MOS will take the stage and deliver exactly the right sound for a balmy summer evening with their explosive mix of anime music, jazz fusion, and powerful brass arrangements. The four female musicians describe their style as “Brass Psychedelics”—energetic, virtuosic, and guaranteed to get you moving.
Free admission. Starting at 6:00 p.m., food and drink stands invite you to linger. Feel free to bring a blanket or a seat cushion and enjoy a special evening under the open sky. The venue is fully accessible.
