What rolls, drives and moves through Hamburg? In this event, the Fröbel Book Workshop invites children and families to discover the picture book "Hamburg on Wheels" together. Together with illustrator Karin Lindeskov Andersen, participants will immerse themselves in an imaginative city in which buildings, animals and Hamburg's special features are on wheels.
When looking at and reading aloud together, the focus is on the many picture details, language games and surprising ideas in the book. The children can tell stories, ask questions and make their own discoveries. The book offers numerous opportunities to talk about the city, transportation and imagination - openly, playfully and without right or wrong.
After the reading, the children get creative: with paper, pens and lots of imagination, they design their own vehicles. Whether realistic, weird, fast or completely made up - the pictures from the book serve as inspiration for their own ideas and stories. The resulting works can be shown, written on or simply viewed by the children themselves.
The event is aimed at children aged 4 and over and their families and combines reading together with creative design.
