The Hamburg Doctors' Orchestra is mainly made up of doctors and musicians from the medical professions. The orchestra was founded in 1964 and performs for charitable purposes.
The Löwenhaus in Hamburg-Harburg offers children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14 from challenging family and social backgrounds a place of refuge. 30 - 50 children a day receive support and guidance there. Education, health, creative, cultural and personal development as well as digitalization and sustainability are the five pillars of the work at the Löwenhaus.
This important and valuable work of the Löwenhaus team is largely financed by donations. The Rotary Club Hamburg-Deichtor has supported the Löwenhaus since its beginnings with monetary donations and a variety of hands-on activities to equip more and more children and young people for an independent and self-determined future, and is organizing the 7th benefit concert in aid of the Löwenhaus.
