How does a new "we" emerge when the old one has been lost? How much freedom does a collective need - and when does order become coercion? In RE:PUBLIC, the dancers of the Hamburg Chamber Ballet, all of whom fled the war in Ukraine, create a composition of change, transformation and growth in a social utopia. Based on Plato's reflections on justice and order, the dancers explore what cohesion can mean today: Under the choreographic direction of Edvin Revazov, a "RE:PUBLIC" of bodies, movements and relationships is created. In the interplay of synchronicity and dissolution, structure and rupture, power and empathy, a sensual commentary on our present is formed: Can community be just? Or does it remain a draft, a space of possibility, a wish?
