Hand, Heart* and Work - a queerfeminist declaration of love to craft...and a solemn separation from what we want to leave behind
Open networking event for craftspeople and artists
16.11.2024, 14:00 - 17:00, Bauteilbörse Hanover
Exact program to follow. Free admission, a donation is appreciated.
With hands, heads and braids, between flex, cordless screwdriver and pleating machine: In the last few months, we, FLINTA* craftspeople* and artists* from Hanover and the surrounding area, have gotten to know each other, exchanged ideas and worked artistically and practically.
On November 16, 2024 we invite you from 2 to 5 pm: We want to network in an even larger circle and get into conversation with each other. Everyone who works with their hands or is interested in doing so is welcome! Intergenerational, diverse and multifaceted - let's come together for a queerfeminist future in the skilled trades - true to the feminist motto "form bonds". You can expect speed dating with tools & materials, the "Worst of Stupid Construction Site Sayings", a ritual to get rid of bad experiences, and for the cozy warm touch: drinks and hot waffles!
We want to share queerfeminist ideas and thoughts on crafts with the public: A desire for cooperation, community, creating something together and clearly a love for our actual crafts - working with our hands and experiencing artistic creation together!
Our meeting is not a place for self-promotion, but rather an open space to get to know each other as equals.
