Let us take you back to Dortmund's heyday in the 14th century and visit one of the largest free traditional and farmers' markets of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia with a medieval market, nostalgia fair, exciting knight games, knight tournament especially for children and live music!

At the end of October/beginning of November every year, the former times of the Hanseatic city come alive once again for five days around the Reinoldikirche in the heart of the city.

Under the leadership of the Gesellschaft für City-Marketing (CMG) and Patrick Arens as organizer, a spectacular program for the whole family is presented, which every year also inspires thousands of visitors from the surrounding area.

Butchers, smokers, vintners and beer brewers demonstrate their skills in the "Witches' Lane" (between St. Mary's Church and vodafone).

Directly in front of the Reinoldi Church, sturdy knightly squires demonstrate how swords and rapiers were fought in those days.

Belly dancers, jugglers, sutlers, knife throwers, archers and musicians transport the visitors to a thousand and one nights.

The Dortmunder Schaustellerverein Rote Erde traditionally presents a nostalgia fair with a Ferris wheel (1925), a horse carousel (1878), a ghost train from 1946, a caterpillar track with a canopy (1925), a swan plane (1928), a miniature fair, Hau den Lukas, Gilbert the fire-eater, many jugglers, fire shows and historical steam engines from the 18th century.
