The celebrated Australian newcomers Headsend are coming to Berlin

The trio Headsend from the Australian surfer's paradise Byron Bay have been surfing on a pretty impressive wave of hype in recent months. Fortunately, the acting, surfing and musician brothers Rasmus and Kyuss King and bandmate Bon Soric are handling it quite well.

Their debut EP "Angel Glands", which was released at the end of March, certainly doesn't sound as if anything has upset them.

Their early gigs supporting Tool and AC/DC in front of tens of thousands of people were also met with enthusiasm. In general, their powerful grunge-stoner rock is so self-assured that a word like "newcomer" almost sounds out of place.

This summer, Headsend are finally going on their own tour to play songs like the Nirvana-esque "Stove" or the QOTSA-esque "Do Do" in packed clubs - exactly where this music sounds best.

In Germany, they can be seen at Berlin's Badehaus on June 12.
