OTHER SONGS takes a look at the diverse musical landscape of our time: composers such as Caroline Shaw and Judd Greenstein are among the leading voices of the young US-American generation, whose musical language consciously sets itself apart from historical attributions. They are responding to the exponential expansion of the world in which they work as musicians: numerous new and diverse voices are enriching the field of classical music and breaking down the artificial separation between art and life. They open the doors to the concert hall and mix the sound of the street, everyday life and clubs into their compositions.

At the center of OTHER SONGS is the music of Caroline Shaw. She describes herself simply as a "musician who writes music". As a composer, violinist, singer and songwriter, she is one of the most versatile artistic personalities of her generation.
At the center of this music is the human voice as an instrument: without being explicitly political, Caroline Shaw's songs nevertheless pose questions between the lines: which voices are heard today, who is perhaps deprived of the air to breathe? At the same time, her songs create short pauses for breath in which you can lose yourself for the duration of the musical experience and then go through the world with renewed strength and more open ears.
