A play for adults and young people aged 16 and over

A landscape on the Mark Brandenburg Sea, as old as the world itself. At the beginning of the 20th century, a house is built there and remains standing while everything around it changes. Different people have lived here for over eighty years, coming, settling, leaving, being left, owning and losing. They experience the political upheavals - war, expulsion, division, reunification - and in this summer house on Schamützelsee, the traces of their lives remain in things, spaces and memories. And in the end, for a brief moment, the landscape becomes itself again.

In this solo production of Jenny Erpenbeck's multi-award-winning novel, actress Daniela Mohr, directed by Tom Schneider, embarks on a journey through the past of a landscape and a house. An archive of human experiences opens up between forgotten objects and found fragments.
