Jazz, Swing & Yiddish Song

Where it says jazz on it, it's not just jazz inside: Anna Margolina's band arranges, interprets and improvises songs from a wide range of genres and cultures and gives them a surprising new sound. The accomplished musicians come together from all corners of the globe to create a common sound on numerous stages - entertaining, moving and full of life!

In their current program, well-known jazz standards by Jewish-American composers such as George Gershwin and Irving Berlin meet settings of Yiddish songs and tell stories of great depth. You will also hear songs from the band's debut album "One Endless Night", in which the singer talks about her emigration. Look forward to an evening full of rousing arrangements and original compositions.
