He enjoys cult status in Hesse: Henni Nachtsheim. Comedian. Musician. Podcaster. And recently also a successful playwright with "Adlerherzen". Now the jack-of-all-trades has published his first novel, "All Kidnapping is Hard".

"Writing has become increasingly important to me in recent years. I really enjoy telling stories, so I decided to try my hand at writing a novel," says Nachtsheim, who has created an idiosyncratic female character: Florentine Huth. "This mixture of bourgeoisie and bitterness appealed to me. It was a challenge right from the start."

Florentine is not exactly blessed by Mother Nature with beauty, has several pounds too many and, above all, doesn't mince her words. Then she falls in love. With a much younger Adonis, of all people, whom she teasingly calls "doe-eyed". But she is rebuffed. But Florentine wouldn't be Florentine if she threw in the towel. So she hatches a perfidious plan to win over her beloved, kidnaps him and locks him up in a cellar prison built especially for him. But this is where the problems really begin. The relationship doesn't develop as planned and the story gets more and more out of hand! Florentine also has a Hessian postal worker and an African souvenir dealer to thank for this, who suddenly turn up unexpectedly and soon play other important roles. Just like the Beatles (yes, you read that right!) So, enough spoilers. "All Kidnapping is Hard" oscillates between crime comedy with comedy elements and witty language, suspense and musical novel. A mix that has it all.
