Hesselmann & Band released the indie punk song "Am Ende jeder Tage" in April 2023, with which they went on tour in the same month. It was a long way to this second single, their first as a band. As a solo artist, Hesselmann had already shared the stage with Sophie Hunger, The Gardener & The Tree, Joey Cape and Skinny Lister before turning to a more versatile band sound (somewhere between Betterov, Herrenmagazin, Frightened Rabbit) in 2021. A friend, who is now part of his team as manager, brings him together with producers Yannick Albrecht (Mischa) and Thilo Türr (Peter Pux). Together they produced three songs, the first of which was released in 2022. "Sometimes", mixed by Swen Meyer (Olli Schulz, Tomte, Kettcar, among others), is a sensitively arranged song that introspectively addresses fears, weaknesses and longings. Following the release of a live EP recorded at Jazzhaus Freiburg, the third single "Hans im Pech" was released in September 2024 before the band went into the studio with new songs. The path for fresh and versatile emotional guitar music is mapped out.
