Fear, shame and anger are the feelings that usually arise in situations of gender-specific violence. These three emotions guide the journey that the performers and audience embark on together as WE.
One performance and three installations
It begins and ends with a musical installation at the gate of the theater. In this place, where the boundary between "outside" and "inside" is undefined, we do not stop making gender-specific violence visible. Furthermore, a personal letter is read in a quiet place, in which the familiar surroundings of a woman* are questioned as a safe place. The studio is a space of security. The audience is invited to experience empowerment through a sensory experience.
La Fuchsia Kollektiva and the topic of feminicide
Since 2021, artists from La Fuchsia Kollektiva have been working to make feminicide and violence against women* visible. In 2021, they began with a series of Instagram posts about signs of normalized violence against women* and struggles against violence against women*. In 2022, they explored the topic theoretically and performatively in the project Alles aufs Spiel. This research process resulted in the interactive brochure Achtung FEMINIZID! WE are putting EVERYTHING AT STAKE! This was followed in 2023 by the performative and multimedia night-time city walk in Stuttgart East Feminicidio! Let's talk about it!
