CELEBRATING DIVERSITY – HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE FOR EVERYONE

Let’s talk together about a good end of life.   

A good end of life begins with care that recognizes people in all their diversity.

How can hospice and palliative care meet the needs of people regardless of their background, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or family structure? This question is at the heart of the event “Nurturing Diversity.”

Following an introduction to the “Caring for Diversity” concept and the corresponding initiatives at the Elias Hospice, experts from various sectors of society will discuss the question “What does a good end of life mean to me?” together with family members and volunteers.

Personal accounts provide insights into supporting people with a migration background, queer individuals, as well as family members and volunteers. An interactive “wish wall” invites participants to share their own thoughts and wishes. The subsequent get-together, featuring snacks and drinks, provides time for conversation, connection, and new perspectives.
