HOTEL RIMINI
Since the six band members of HOTEL RIMINI got together on the outskirts of Leipzig, they have been working on German-language music that moves somewhere between Isolation Berlin, Hildegard Knef and The Velvet Underground.
The musical roots of the band can be described as widely ramified even without botanical expertise. Electric guitar, double bass and drums mix with cello and violin; piano and acoustic guitar meet effects units, Casio and horn.
The concise voice of Julius Forster and his song lyrics also play a major role.
They are about shed crocodile tears of urban affluent problematics, the transfigured view of the past or public transport as an escape vehicle from one's own inadequacy.
In the summer of 2022, they released their first EP "Die Zeit schlägt mich tot, aber ich schlag zurück," supported by Initiative Musik. Their debut album will be released this fall.
KAPA TULT
After Visions judged in April 2022: "The debut EP of this young band from Leipzig does what debut EPs should do: Lust for more.", 2023 will finally see MORE from Kapa Tult: more concerts (e.g. at the Open Flair Festival), more elbow capitalism and above all more songs. On 23.06. the debut album "Es schmeckt nicht" will be released by Ladies&Ladys.
Because there are some things they don't like: conservative ideas about relationships, for example, and the postponement of psychotherapy. Kapa Tult talk about the really big issues, but also about streetcars and about the fact that you should use oral contraception not only on Mario Barth, but also in your own love life.
Paul (bass), Inga (voc, git), Robin (keys) and Angi (drums, voc) sound like "Wir sind Helden in a studio home, like Schnipo Schranke with melody putschmittel" and like "Blond-Geschwister im Herzen" (Julia Köhler, Minutenmusik, 01/23). So if you haven't made yourself too comfortable in your row house yet, a Kapa Tult concert can be a good evening for you.
