Open Storytelling Stage Leipzig - Guest: Barbara Greiner-Burkert with the program "Pretty Ugly - Being Beautiful for Advanced Learners"

Come, listen and be enchanted! Everyone is welcome to listen to stories and tell them themselves. In the first part, we will be whisked away to other worlds by professional storytellers. In the second part of the evening, the stage is open for you and your stories - fairy tales, myths, experiences and inventions, anything is possible.

As a guest: Barbara Greiner-Burkert (Munich) with the program "Pretty Ugly - Being Beautiful for Advanced Learners": At first glance, they are pretty ugly. At second glance, too. Barbara Greiner-Burkert tells of female protagonists whose beauty is hidden under shaggy hair, rags, a layer of bad luck or a curse. In order for them to come to light, they have to go through adventures and trials and sometimes they need a counterpart who is willing to find and see their not-so-obvious beauty. The storyteller from Munich finds her narrative material in European folk tales, the legends surrounding King Arthur and newly created stories.
