HYBRID FESTIVAL

The HYBRID Festival is an immersive convergence of performance, technology, and collective learning. Bringing together artists working across choreography, digital media, and research-based practices, the festival presents a curated program of multidisciplinary works that expand the boundaries of performance.

The HYBRID Festival brings together independent artists alongside practitioners working within academic contexts. It features contributors from a diverse network of institutions, including Freie Universität Berlin (Intervenierende Künste), Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, and Universität der Künste Berlin. The programme is further shaped through collaborations with the European research platform MODINA at Tallinn University, as well as artist-led networks such as Art and Dialogue. Together, these partnerships foster a dynamic exchange between performance, technology, and critical research.

Over the course of three evenings, seven productions unfold across Uferstudios, combining live performance, multimedia installations, and experimental formats.

The festival extends beyond presentation into dialogue, with daily moderated discussions inviting exchange between artists, researchers, and audiences. In this context, artists act as researchers, audiences become participants, and each work opens new perspectives on embodiment, technology, and contemporary artistic practice.

The 2026 edition features works by Dr. Chang Gao, Aljoša Dakić, Sandra Bak, Norbert Pape, Viola Yip, Christine Saulut Bonansea, Riccardo Castagnola, and INTER_SECTION.
The festival is curated by Christine Saulut Bonansea and Anastasia Putsykina.

Tickets: Regular €20 per day ticket. Reduced €15 per day tickets are available for Tanzcard holders, schoolchildren, the unemployed, recipients of public assistance, people with severe disabilities and retirees. Special €10 per day tickets are available for Student card holders.
