Can we get out of the climate crisis with an "energy transition"? Is solar and wind energy enough? Are electric cars really environmentally friendly? What are the benefits of the Heat Planning and Building Energy Act? And the much-vaunted heat pumps? Is hydrogen really the savior - as claimed by politicians? What can we do ourselves to change our habits - not just in terms of energy - even if it is difficult? Such questions are best put to Volker Quaschning, one of the world's leading experts on renewable energies. Using concrete examples, he will show how the transition to a sustainable and climate-neutral economy can be achieved. And: How long do we have until we reach +1.5°C? The answer is in the title of the lecture and discussion event: Action must be taken NOW!
