Mezzo-soprano Barbara Schöller and pianist Jeremy Atkin take the audience on a journey through the dazzling world of Édith Piaf, the great priestess of love, as one critic once described her. Some of Piaf's most famous chansons such as "La vie en rose", "L'Accordéoniste" and "Non, je ne regrette rien" will be performed. In addition, contemporary documents and anecdotes, presented by narrator Tom Klenk, provide an insight into the eventful life of Édith Giovanna Gassions, who was born into the poorest of circumstances on December 19, 1915 and - barely outgrown as a child - became the "sparrow of Paris", the "Piaf" and a world star with her unique voice.
