In the organizer's words:

An evening from Syria to Athens to Amsterdam and from the streets of Tehran to the heart of the Ruhr region

6.30 pm: Arrival with "Dortmund successes: We made it!" - An exhibition by Train of Hope and the Nordstat bloggers

19.00 - 21.00: "Other Strings" - short films by the AMIR project, Solmaz Gholami, about:stories and 5vorFilm - music by Kiommars Musayyebi (santur) and Andreas Heuser (baritone violin) - moderated by Dr. Sarah Sander (IfM, RUB)
What role does music play in stories of migration and what do papers have to do with identity? The films are about flight and freedom, violence and solidarity. They show political persecution and resistant practices and ask about the impossibilities of arriving in cafés in Bochum and Dortmund's Nordstadtliga, among other places.

from 9.30 pm: DIASPORA DISCO at domicil with Dj Ipek
Dj Ipek invites you to dance: with a mix of disco, house and international sounds. Her sets combine different musical influences and create an open space for encounters, movement and celebrating together.
