BEETHOVEN Piano Sonata No. 21 in C major op. 53 "Waldstein"

Igor Levit invites you on a journey into his personal universe: What is the great pianist currently preoccupied with? Music, of course. And in anticipation of the great Beethoven year 2027, of course, a lot of Beethoven, the greatest visionary in music history. In his piano sonatas in particular, he captured the future in sound. Igor Levit, on the other hand, is an alert mind who repeatedly expresses himself on the big questions of politics and philosophy. So it is no wonder that he has chosen "futurology" as the focus of the event. Levit explains what this has to do with Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata in a moderated discussion - and of course at the piano.
