After the five-piece band Il Civetto sent the Badische Zeitung tent into ecstasy in 2023, they will be conquering the circus tent this year. Their sound is laid-back and sounds like summer. The band and their songs invite you to dance and enjoy a carefree evening. Their current album "Liebe auf Eis" (Love on Ice) promises a few catchy tunes that tell of beautiful everyday events and optimistic thoughts. A concert evening that will breathe pure summer feeling into the ZMF tent!

With songs about toxic masculinity, a world in turmoil and some of the brightest melodies of their career to date, Die Band have once again completely reinvented themselves. With guests such as Frank Dellé (Seeed), the result is "Liebe auf Eis", the wonderfully intoxicating new Il Civetto album, which is also the Berlin pop band's most personal and haunting to date.

Keiditsch is the singer of the Berlin pop group, which does indeed have a very special gift: When the night seems deepest, Il Civetto know the light switch. This applies not only to their concerts, but to the band's music in general - and even more so to their new album: "Liebe auf Eis" combines light with shadow, the vibe of a balmy summer night with the hangover afterwards. Perfect conditions for a successful ZMF evening.

The foundation of this group has always been their enormous openness and musical versatility. Lars Löffler-Oppermann (saxophone, clarinet), Leon Bollinger (drums & percussion) and Keiditsch knew each other from school and threw their diverse influences together when they formed Il Civetto: the Manu Chao and desert blues influences of Bollinger with the klezmer and Balkan beats of the studied clarinettist Löffler-Oppermann.
Löffler-Oppermann, who studied clarinet, and the classical singing skills of Keiditsch, who was considered an opera talent as a child.

Now "Love on ice". Il Civetto have once again made a huge artistic leap. After Keiditsch had collected ideas, sketches and fragments in the late summer and fall of 2022, the five friends worked on the new songs in their Berlin studio from January 2023. They then recorded "Liebe auf Eis" once again with producer Ralf Christian Mayer, who has always understood the vision of this band best.

You can hear that: against the backdrop of their growing friendship, "Liebe auf Eis" has become the band's most personal album to date. Il Civetto have always been musically multifaceted, exciting and captivating. Now they put their hearts on the table, which makes this music even more intense. "Alles was ich hab", for example, is a shimmering duet with Frank Dellé from Seeed, a friend of the band: a bouncy, euphoric road song that is all about appreciating the moment.
