Ready for 9 days of narrative art, workshops and a change of perspective?

From September 5 to 13, 2025, the 2nd International Festival for Narrative Art "IMAGINE!" will stop in Leipzig.

Under the motto "Unfold the Untold", this year we are focusing on the political dimension of storytelling: Who is allowed to tell stories? Who is heard? And what happens when we listen to those who otherwise remain invisible?

23 artists - 10 languages - 4 locations - 21 events

Experience international storytelling for children, families and adults. Listen to stories that have long been invisible, suppressed or lost.

Whether storytelling evenings, story jams, workshops and participatory formats: IMAGINE! invites you to question familiar narratives to discover new perspectives - and to find your own voice.

Our storytelling locations: GRASSI Museum für Völkerkunde zu Leipzig, Theater der Jungen Welt, Café Terra and Budde-Haus.

Most of the venues are barrier-free.

A fair pricing system and free offers make the festival open to everyone.
