IMMORTALS gives us a rare, cinematic insight into the life of the young Iraqi generation in Baghdad. After the end of the war against IS, Iraq has increasingly become a dark spot on the map and a pawn in the conflict between Iran and the USA.

Milo, a strong-willed feminist, pretends to be a man so that she can move around Baghdad more freely as a woman. Khalili, a young and ambitious filmmaker, discovers the power of his camera as a weapon in the fight against the regime. In the aftermath of the 2019 revolution, Milo and Khalili are the faces, the eyes and the voices of an Iraqi youth relentlessly fighting for a better future. IMMORTALS provides insight into the hopes and shattered dreams of a new generation of Iraqis who have experienced war above all else since the US-led occupation.
