ImproVision IV: Music meets Light

In the organizer's words:

Noam Sivan, piano

How can music be created and performed live at the same time, so quickly and in real time?
What's happening in the mind of an improviser?
How can one prepare for this mysterious and yet magical act of music-making?

In this concert, Noam Sivan presents the art of piano improvisation, shares his personal experiences as an artist and places them in the context of his Jewish identity. Immediately before the start of the Jewish festival of lights, Noam Sivan draws inspiration from the tradition of the Hanukkah story with its mystical aspects, but also from the rich song repertoire of the eight-day festival.

On the morning of November 29, Prof. Sivan will share his extensive knowledge with students and lovers of musical improvisation in a workshop lasting several hours. You can find out how this works in practice and what happens in the process from the recordings of Noam Sivan's workshops from 2024 and 2025 on our YouTube channel.
